What can I say? It’s the night before my first race at the Olympic Trials and I’m feeling good, really good. Mentally – I’m calm. Physically – I’m primed. Emotionally – I’m excited.
Tomorrow I’m racing in the 10th pair, which is the last pair of the 5k’s. It doesn’t particularly matter which pair I’m in, however, because my race plan wouldn't have changed. I’ve done the training and I felt awesome in my pre-race program this morning. So, there’s nothing left to do at this point to better prepare myself for tomorrow, other than believe. I’m ready to race!
It's not much, but I think that’s a pretty good place to end it for the night. I’ve had an awesome day so far and I’m looking forward to keep that up with a relaxing rest of the night!
I hope everyone's enjoying the holidays!
