How wonderful for you, your family and friends and for Canada! Heartiest congratulations, Lucas. You don't know us but we are good friends of your Uncle Harvey and Aunt Fae. (I have known Fae since high school.) We were thrilled to 'know' someone in the Olympics and were on our feet cheering for you and all the others. What a memorable 2 weeks! Thank you, thank you and good luck as you continue your passion. Please give our regards to Myk as well.

The Regina Speed Skating Club strikes gold! Way to go Lucas, you have made history for the club & will be a role model for years to come. Perhaps the Mount Pleasant Oval will have to change it's name to the Makowsky - Warsylewicz Oval, try saying that fast 3 times. Hope you took time to relish & enjoy the Olympic experience along with your shiny new medal.

Congratulations on your gold medal victory. The race was indescribable. In team pursuit you could not have skated better or more consistent as a team if you were triplets by birth.
Future success builds/breeds on past success, and your rise to the world stage in your 1st Olympics is an excellent springboard for future success.
The gruesome training regimen has paid its dividends. Continue to push yourself to reach new heights as you realize your abilities are endless.
We look forward to seeing you atop future podiums.
